Get ready to read! Funds raised during this year’s Read-A-Thon will support McKenzie and our sister school, Carman-Buckner Elementary.
How it will work:
April 7 – April 12: Collect Pledges
Students are encouraged to ask family and friends to sponsor their reading by donating a set amount for each minute read or by making a one flat donation. Submit one payment of the total amount of donations collected below.
April 13 – April 26: Read, read, read!
Track each minute spent reading on the Minute Log and submit your student’s total reading time by clicking the link below. Get five Bingo squares in a row to win a special prize!
April 24: Dress Like Your Favorite Book Character and Book Swap
Dress up and head to the Learning Commons for a book swap with classmates!
April 27 – May 1: Turn everything in
Please submit your student’s minute total and any donations collected by May 1, 2026. Students should turn winning Bingo pages into their classroom teacher.
May 4: Winners announced!
Prizes will be awarded to the reader who logs the most minutes in each class, and to the classroom that logs the most minutes in each grade.

Missing something?
Please remember, no paper Minute Logs or Pledge Forms will be collected. All minute totals and donations MUST be submitted online.
